About the Event:
HK-UK Gifted Education Conference - "From Gifted to Great" is jointly organised by the Education Bureau, The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education and the UK Trade & Investment Section at the British Consulate-General Hong Kong. The event is aiming to provide a unique platform of knowledge and information exchange on the latest development in gifted education both from Hong Kong and the UK. Hong Kong’s potent framework for Gifted Education has attributed to many accolades worldwide and the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is highly supportive to broaden the offer for students with giftedness and talents. UK has developed over the years a comprehensive approach in the provision of Gifted Education to enhance excellence for all gifted children. This event will foster closer links between Hong Kong, its surrounding regions and the UK for sharing good practice and experience that advances to collaborative opportunities.
This one and half days’ event is comprised of Conferences and Workshops to be led by Hong Kong and UK experts. In addition, a Gifted Education Resources Exhibition will showcase a range of books, softwares and references on Gifted Education.
Who should attend:
Principals, Teachers and Co-ordinators of special educational programmes, Education Policy Makers, Government Officials, Academics, Parents and Education Supplies’ Providers. This event aims to provide ample opportunities to meet the Gifted Education counterparts from Hong Kong and the UK, to learn more about the strategies in school-based provisions to meet the needs of the gifted children, and to introduce a range of references and resources for Gifted Education from the UK.
